Deana's Spring Quilt

Well, I just finished another stunning quilt made by Deana.  She designed the quilt using pieced blocks that she won 2 years ago at our last local guild show.  By designing the entire quilt setting and adding additional applique and dimensional flowers to these blocks she has outdone herself!  I just finished quilting it last night with custom designs in the blocks and background.  Deana will be adding a few more surprises to the quilt over the next few weeks too.  If you are in our area April 2nd & 3rd come to our guild quilt show "The Desert Blooms" and see this beauty in person.

  5. I am stunned - I don't think I've ever seen a more scrumptious quilt in my life. The dimensional flowers are every bit as exquisite as the glorious quilting. Thank you for sharing. I hope one day to make a quilt so wonderful!

  7. Amazing work by both of you! I'm wondering how you loaded this quilt with all the dimensional aspects? I would love to see the finished quilt if even more embellisment is being added. You both raise the bar of excellence with your work!

  8. Valerie, loading the quilt with the dimensional items was really an issue. I had to be very aware of keeping the tension on the back and the front the same. Once the quilt was stabilized and I worked on it in various areas I had to keep the tension tighter on the quilt than I normally do. Thanks!
